The next time you’re passing through Nashville, you owe it to yourself to experience the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center on the banks of the Cumberland River.
This place is amazing! As you can see here, there’s nine acres of indoor gardens and cascading waterfalls underneath climate-controlled glass atriums.
Gaylord Hotels has joined the Marriott brand, and the facility has freshly remodeled guest rooms and suites. We can only imagine the massive undertaking that project was.
This isn’t just a hotel. It is like a city! If we someday have to live under domes, a la Logan’s Run, this would be the way to do it! Luckily for us, we don’t have to survive a dystopian nightmare to experience enclosed life. I recently attended a Star Trek convention at the Gaylord, so I must still have sci-fi on the brain…
If you love country music, you’ll love the CMA Music Festival / Fan Fair package.
If you’re attending any meeting or convention soon in Nashville, there’s a very good chance it will be held at the resort and convention center, which has more than 600,000 square feet of meeting space. It boasts the largest non-gaming, in-hotel exhibition space in the world!
You could literally spend an entire day exploring the Opryland Hotel and not see all of it, but there’s plenty else to do nearby. Experience the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, the show that made country music famous, with packages starting at just $132 per person. There’s also the DreamWorks Experience offering interactive adventures with the characters from films such as Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar.
If you prefer to stay closer to the facility, there’s also a magnificent 20,000-square-foot spa where you can get massages, facials, body therapies, hand and foot therapies, and more. Maybe shopping is more your style, then check out the exlusive boutiques, collectibles and custom-made gift baskets.
